Student Volunteer Program

Information

HRI 2021 will include a Student Volunteer (SV) Program. SVs are the heart of what makes a conference run smoothly, and we would love to have you on board. SVs are expected to provide support for various activities during the virtual conference and can volunteer for some activities helping with the preparation of the conference. With this year’s virtual format of the HRI conference, there are no travel costs for SVs and there are no costs associated with the registration for SVs.
We currently accept SVs on a continuous basis and applications close on February 5th. Being an SV is a great way to participate in one of the leading conferences in the HRI research community, expand your knowledge, and network with many fellow students. We would like to include students with diverse backgrounds from everywhere in the world. In the selection of SVs, priority will be given to students with accepted conference or workshop paper(s) and to HRI Pioneers. However, we still encourage other students to apply for the SV Program.
The deadline for applying for the SV Program is February 5th, 2021. The application link is here.
Please keep in mind that student volunteers are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours and attend the conference from its start to close (March 08 – 11, 2021). You will be required to complete training sessions with the online system before the conference.
Any questions can be directed to the SV Chairs.
