Workshops and Tutorials

Note: Workshops and Tutorials will be held at Heriot-Watt University, separately from the main conference activities, which will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre

Heriot-Watt University campus is served by various bus lines: 25, 34, 35, 45.

The journey to the campus takes ~35 minutes from Haymarket and ~50 minutes from Princes Street. We recommend you take bus 34 or 35 which has a stop in front of the National Robotarium building where registration will take place.

Registration will open at 8:30am and close at 2:45pm at the National Robotarium, reopening at 3pm at the EICC for those who do not attend workshops but need to register and get their badge in time for the welcome reception at 7:30pm at Dynamic Earth. Registration will close at 5pm at the EICC, please make sure to get your badge before than if you are coming to the welcome reception.

Workshops will be organised in two sessions, a morning session and an afternoon session, with a common lunch break scheduled from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. The morning session will run from 9:30 AM until approximately 1:00 PM, while the afternoon session will take place from 2:30 PM until approximately 6:00 PM (note that you will need approximately 60 minute to reach the welcome reception location from the campus).

A light breakfast refreshment will be available at the National Robotarium from 8:30am.

Workshop organisers may choose to slightly extend the end of the morning session or bring forward the start of the afternoon session, considering also lunch break. Lunch will be served either at the National Robotorium or dedicated spaces closer to the allocated workshop rooms. Participants will attend the lunch break near their allocated workshop room.

Note: if you are attending a morning and an afternoon workshop, your designated lunch area is the one assigned to your morning workshop.
