Christchurch International Airport (CHC) brings in international flights from around the world. For those that don’t directly fly to Christchurch, they are likely to arrive via Auckland, which is an approximately one hour domestic flight. After arriving at Christchurch airport, you can head to the hotel using a taxi, shuttle, or bus service.

If you wish to rent a car at the airport, this can be done at the ground floor as you get ready to exit the airport. People drive on the left in NZ and those with licenses from certain countries can drive in NZ for up to 12 months (for details click here).
