{"id":544,"date":"2025-12-12T19:21:22","date_gmt":"2025-12-12T19:21:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/humanrobotinteraction.org\/2026\/?page_id=544"},"modified":"2026-03-05T16:13:26","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T16:13:26","slug":"registration-information","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/humanrobotinteraction.org\/2026\/registration-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Registration Information"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The HRI 2026 conference will be taking place from Monday, 16 March until Thursday, 19 March 2026 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, in Edinburgh, UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Main conference entitlements include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access to all sessions, Tuesday 17 \u2013 Thursday 19 March 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to the Exhibition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Morning and Afternoon Coffee Breaks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delegate materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One ticket to the Welcome Reception on Monday, 16 March 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One ticket to the Conference Award Dinner on Wednesday, 18 March 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note 1: Main conference registration does not include the workshop day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note 2: The Ceilidh social event on Thursday is not included in the registration. More information can be found in the section Social Functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to register<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration for the HRI 2026 conference is now open. Please read the registration information carefully before beginning the online registration. Registration can be submitted by completing the <a href=\"https:\/\/cvent.me\/dM2yZb\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">online form<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Due to the unexpected high number of registrations and the capacity of the conference venue, the Organizing Committee is now required to cap the number of registrations to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Once the maximum capacity of the venue is reached (which is highly likely to happen before the conference), a waiting list system will manage registrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE 2:<\/strong> Starting from March 2nd, new registrations will not have wire transfer as a payment method, and only credit card payments will be accepted. Also, one full registration can cover up to two publications, irrespective of the paper category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cancellation deadline<\/strong>: Sunday, 1 February 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Member registration<\/strong>: To be eligible for the Member Registration rates, registrants must be a\u202ffinancial member of one of the IEEE &amp; ACM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Student registration<\/strong>: A student is defined as a holder of a full-time student identification card from a recognised tertiary or secondary education institution (e.g. a University or vocational education institution).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must be currently enrolled in full-time studies or have recently finished their degree after September 1, 2025, to qualify for the discounted rate. Students will be asked to provide proof of student status during the registration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Frequently Asked Questions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How can I register <\/strong><strong>for Industry<\/strong><strong> Day?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Industry day will happen on the same day of the workshops and, as a result, if you want to attend the Industry Day, you must register for Workshops (either Workshops only or Main conference + Workshops). Please note that the registration form does not have any specific question about the Industry Day, nor does it appear as an option in the workshop list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>I\u2019m an author of an accepted submission. Do I need to be registered before the early-bird registration deadline?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>At least one author must register for the main conference for the Full Paper, Alt-HRI, Pioneers,&nbsp; Late Breaking Report, Short Paper, Student Design Challenge, Tutorial,&nbsp; or Video\/Demo papers to be included in the proceedings and program. Early-bird registration by <strong>January 31, 2026<\/strong>, is highly encouraged, but the final author registration deadline is <strong>February 15, 2026<\/strong>. One registration covers up to two papers; additional papers require a co-author\u2019s registration. If you cannot register by the deadline, contact the registration chairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>None of the authors of my paper can attend the conference. Do I need to still register?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. At least one author of an accepted paper needs to be registered for your paper to be included in the proceedings and the program. Every accepted paper needs to be presented at the conference. If none of the paper authors can attend the conference, please contact the Program Chairs (<a href=\"mailto:pc2026@humanrobotinteraction.org\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">pc2026@humanrobotinteraction.org<\/span><\/a>) immediately to discuss presentation options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>I have multiple publications. Do I pay a registration fee for each publication?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>One full registration can cover up to two publications, irrespective of the paper category. If you have more than two papers accepted (e.g., one full paper and two LBR papers), make sure one of your co-authors is registered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>I am one of the organisers of a workshop. Do I also have to register for the workshop day?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. All attendees of a workshop, including the organisers and keynote speakers, need to register for the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>If I only register for the workshop, can I also attend the main conference?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>No. While workshop-only registrations are available, this does not include admission to the main conference or conference reception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I am currently not an IEEE\/ACM member. Can I become a member before HRI registration?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, you can. Cancellations made by February 1st, 2026, will result in a full refund minus a fee of GBP\u00a3 110 to cover administration costs. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person by February 15th, 2026, without incurring any cost penalty.
