HRI 2023 Student Volunteer Program

Applications are due on January 12, 2023. The link can be found here: https://forms.gle/thHvnb1aWqJWTr4j7

We are accepting student volunteer (SV) applications to the 18th Annual ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human Robot Interaction, HRI 2023. The conference will be held in person in Stockholm, Sweden, with opportunities to participate remotely, from March 13-16, 2023.

SVs are the heart of what makes a conference run smoothly, providing support for various activities at the conference (e.g., registration desk, technical assistance during presentations, demo setup/take down, support for virtual activities, etc.). Being an SV is a great way to participate in one of the leading conferences in the HRI research community, expand your knowledge, and network with many fellow students. We would like to include students with diverse backgrounds from everywhere in the world. In the selection of SVs, priority will be given to students with accepted conference or workshop paper(s) and to HRI Pioneers. However, we still encourage all students to apply for the SV Program.

In thanks for your service, you will receive free registration to the conference and workshops. In addition, partial coverage of travel and other conference-related expenses have been offered in past years. However, we cannot guarantee reimbursement for such expenses because this depends on the conference budget. SVs will be informed as funding becomes available after the applications are closed. SV applicants are encouraged to wait for notification of their application decision before registering for the conference. (Application decisions will be released on January 16th, 2023.)

Student volunteers are expected to work a minimum of 12 hours and attend the conference from its start to close (March 13-16, 2023). In-person student volunteers will be required to arrive at the conference site by March 13th for the training session before the conference, and all volunteers will attend training sessions with the online system prior to the start of the virtual format of the conference.

Please note that the applications cannot be modified once submitted. Applicants with Late-Breaking Reports, alt.HRI, Demonstrations, Videos, or Student Design Competition submissions are encouraged to wait until January 10th before submitting an application.

We hope to see you at HRI 2023!
