HRI2023 will continue piloting a Registration Fee Waiver program for a more inclusive conference. The goal of this pilot program is to increase participation from countries, institutions, or populations that may not be able to access, attend, or publish at HRI due to special circumstances (political, financial, social, medical, lack of mentorship, etc.).
This program will waive the registration costs of the conference for selected applicants. If you feel you are experiencing any of the above-mentioned challenges to attending HRI2023, please fill out our form by 09 February. Recipients will be notified by 16 February.
Please do not purchase registration before 16 February as we will not be able to provide any refunds if registration is purchased.
Eligibility: You must meet at least one of the following:- Reside in a country that is on the IEEE list of countries available for reduced registration fees https://www.ieee.org/membership/join/emember-countries.html
- Have a special circumstance that restricts you from having the means to attend or afford the conference (e.g., insufficient income, retired, unemployed, permanently disabled, or other). Circumstances are taken from https://www.ieee.org/membership/special-circumstances.html but are not limited to these.
- Be a researcher or student who will be a first time HRI attendee (and, if you are a student, your supervisor has also not attended HRI).
Fee waivers will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to budget availability. All applications will be reviewed by two members of the organizing committee.
All data will be anonymized after the conference.
